High School: Petersen was a four-year letter winner in football. He has also lettered in wrestling and track... In 2014, he was named Second-Team All-Conference as a defensive end for the Bruins and in 2015 improved that to First-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-State honors... He was Capital High's MVP for the defensive line in 2014 and 2015... This past season he finished with 14 sacks and tied Bobby Daly as Capital High's career sack leader with 26... He has been selected to play in the East/West Shrine game this summer... He is currently ranked second in Montana in the 205-pound weight class in wrestling... In 2015, David was selected Academic All-State.
