He was twice named All-Evergreen League and his senior year led the Huskies to an 8-1 record and a bowl game appearance.
His sophomore year, he played at the National Underclassman Combine and received the Combine Linebacker MVP and the Combine Strongest Man. Tully also played basketball, baseball and rugby.
