HELENA, Mont. - Four former Fighting Saints took part in Pro Day's at both Montana State University and the University of Montana this past weekend, hoping to elevate their chances of signing with an team as the NFL Draft draws closer.

Both of the state's NCAA Division I institutions held their respective Pro Day's last weekend, with officials and scouts from numerous NFL franchises and one CFL team in attendance. Four standouts from Carroll showcased their skills and measurables, looking for an opportunity to play at the next level.

While no Carroll players since 2000 have been drafted into the NFL, Carroll has had several players sign professional contracts. Casey FitzSimmons signed with the Detroit Lions, ultimately spending seven seasons in the Motor City, accruing 70 receptions for 549 yards and five touchdowns. Bubba Bartlett signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Josh James signed with the Packers following the draft in 2016, and Alex Hoffman was Carroll's most recent NFL signee, inking a deal with the New Orleans Saints in 2021.

Andrew Devine (Wasilla, Alaska / OL), a 2026 First Team All-Frontier West selection was the lone Saint to take part of Montana State's Pro Day. All-American Carson Ochoa (Yorba Linda, Calif. / TE), as well as All-Conference Linebacker Brett Tommasini (Eagle, Idaho) went west to Missoula for the University of Montana Pro Day, joining former Frontier Player of the Year and All-American Defensive Lineman Hunter Peck ('25), who earned All-Big Sky honors this season for the Grizzlies after graduating from Carroll last spring.

Carroll College had the most Pro Day participants of any Frontier Conference institution, with four players marking their largest total in program history.

The NFL Draft will take place April 23-25 in Pittsburgh, Pa., with seven rounds of selections. Immediately upon completion of the seven-round draft, teams are able to negotiate contracts with undrafted free agents.
