HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has announced the eleventh edition of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Softball weekly honors. Carroll sophomore
Kathryn Emmert has been named the Frontier Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Pitcher of the Week: Kathryn Emmert, Carroll
Kathryn Emmert, a sophomore pitcher from Helena, Mont., was named the Frontier Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Emmert was simply electric on Sunday afternoon, tossing a three-hit, complete-game 2-0 shutout victory. Carroll picked up a 2-0 win in the effort, moving the sophomore to 5-1 in her first season, blanking Valley City State to remain deadlocked in the Frontier standings.
Emmert's performance was a memorable one, as she allowed just three total hits and no walks, while registering five strikeouts - the third most in her young career - in her only pitching appearance for the week.
This is Emmert's first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award, the first time a Fighting Saint has taken home the award, and the first time since February, 2025 that a Saint has garnered a conference honor (
Ella Seaman - CCC Player of the week - Feb. 10, 2025).
The Fighting Saints are right back into action early in the week, as they head to Great Falls tomorrow afternoon for a doubleheader against Providence at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
