Crane Named Player of the Year, Seven Saints Earn Postseason Honors

Carroll Basketball Teams Sweep Freshman of the Year Honors, Allen Named Co-Newcomer of the Year

02/26/26 | 7:20 PM

HELENA, Mont. – The 2025-26 Frontier Conference Men's and Women's Basketball All-Conference teams and individual award winners were announced by the league office Thursday evening. Both Carroll College Basketball teams were well represented, earning a multitude of individual awards and All-Conference honors.

For the second time in the last three seasons, a Fighting Saint garnered the league's top Men's honor, the Frontier Conference Player of the Year award.

Standout guard Isaiah Crane (Portland, Ore. / R-SO) has been electric all season long, and can now officially add a Player of the Year trophy next to his Freshman of the Year award from last season.

Crane has continually proven to be among the best scorers in the conference over the past two seasons. After leading the league in scoring average last year (18.1 ppg), the six-foot, two-inch guard was even more impressive in 2025-26, averaging 19.4 points per game - the third highest total in the league and the 34th-best mark in the entire NAIA. Crane has been highly-efficient this season, shooting 53 percent from the floor (188-352), and even more impressive from range. He bettered his freshman campaign by nearly 10 percent, finishing the regular season at a team-best 48.9 percent from beyond the arc (43-88). He's shooting 77 percent at the free throw line, and also contributes 4.2 rebounds per game, 79 assists, and 27 steals on the season.

Crane's Player of the Year honor marks the 17th time in Frontier Conference history that a Fighting Saint has won the award, as the newest member of the Carroll MBB 1,000-point club continues to add to his decorated young career.

Carroll swept the Frontier Conference Freshman of the Year honors, with both Jillian Kanduch (Miles City, Mont.) and Drew Jones (Puyallup, Wash.) helping lead their respective teams to three-seeds for the upcoming Conference Championship.

Kanduch carved out a prominent role early in the season, proving to be both a scoring threat and skilled defender right from the first game. The talented freshman was inserted into the starting lineup in game three, and never looked back. Kanduch appeared in all 28 games, starting 26 while averaging 26 minutes per game. She finished the regular season tied for the second-best scoring average on the team, putting up an impressive 9.9 points per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the floor (90-212) and adding 42 assists. Defensively, she tallied 50 steals on the season, and finished with eight blocks as well.

Jones exploded onto the scene early in the season as well, providing consistent scoring in the all-important sixth-man role, and the ability to finish late in close-game situations. Jones is the third-leading scorer (12.0 ppg) on a Carroll team averaging its most points per game in the last decade (85.6 ppg). The freshman averaged 23.6 minutes across all 27 games, shooting 47.9 percent from the floor (104-217) and 43 percent (46-107) from range. A willing and talented passer, Jones is among the best assist men on the team, finishing with 60 total assists, while adding in 20 steals on the defensive end. The freshman showed his mettle early, scoring the game-winner in Carroll's overtime win over then-ranked No. 4 Montana Tech in December - a game in which he finished with 21 points.

Transfer guard Kenzie Allen (Grantsville, Utah / JR) was named the Co-Newcomer of the Year on the Women's side to round out the individual awards following an impressive first year on the Hilltop.

Allen settled into her role as point guard exceptionally well in '25-26, helping replace last year's Frontier Conference Player of the Year Kyndall Keller. Allen matched Kanduch on the scoring front, averaging 9.9 points per game across her 28 starts. She shot 41.4 percent on the season (99-239), while leading the team in three-point percentage at 35.6 (32-90). Three times, Allen scored 20 or more points, including a season-best 24 to lift the Saints to a win over their Frontier Quarterfinal opponent, Montana Western, back in December. She led the always impressive Carroll defense, totaling a team and conference-best 64 steals, and was the assist leader as well with 53.

The Frontier Conference individual award recipients were selected by the league's 12 head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.

The league also announced its All-Conference teams, where the individual award recipients were joined by several of their teammates following outstanding seasons.

Crane was named a First Team All-Conference selection in addition to his Player of the Year honors, and was joined on the Women's side by First Teamer Willa Albrecht (Billings, Mont. / R-SR).

Albrecht has done it all for the Saints this season, leading her team in both points (15.9 ppg) and rebounds (148 total, 5.3 rpg). Her 15.9 ppg is a career-best, and the fourth-highest mark in the Frontier Conference. She posted the second-highest scoring game in program history earlier this season (35 points), and has ascended to the top-15 scorers at Carroll all-time. Not just an offensive threat, she leads the team with 31 blocks, while also adding 60 steals - second to only Allen's 64 in the conference.

A pair of sophomores on the Men's side earned Second Team All-Frontier honors, in Kellen Harrison (Bozeman, Mont.) and Isaac Round (Northampton, England), while Kenzie Allen was the lone Second Teamer on the Women's team.

Harrison and Round are among four different Carroll guards to average 10 or more points per game (Harrison 13.0, Round 11.8 ppg), and both bring a unique skillset to court. Both are dangerous from downtown, combining for 114 three-pointers on the season, while both adding 100-plus rebounds on the year (Harrison 102, Round 106). Round is one of the best passers on the team, dishing out 71 total assists, while Harrison leads the team and conference in steals with 60 takeaways. Harrision also led the league in Defensive Player of the Week honors, grabbing four of the weekly accolades throughout the season.

The two stickiest-handed players in the league in each respective side of the competition, Kellen Harrison and Kenzie Allen, were both named to the All-Defensive team for their stout defensive performances all season long.
