Saints Host Providence and MSU-Northern on Senior Weekend

02/13/26 | 10:04 AM

HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Basketball teams will host their final two home games of the 2025-26 season this weekend, welcoming familiar Frontier foes Providence and MSU-Northern to the PE Center for a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. The Women will tip-off at 5 p.m. on both nights, with the Men following at 7 p.m.

Down to the final four games of the Frontier Conference regular season, both the Carroll Men and Women sit tied for second place in the league standings with identical 14-4 marks in conference play. Both teams appear primed for a top seed in the upcoming Frontier Championship, and have their sights set on returns to their respective NAIA Championships next month, but will need to handle business over the final two weeks to make it happen.

The Carroll Women (16-8, 14-4) enter the weekend tied with Montana Tech for second, both two games back of No. 6 Dakota State. This weekend's slate will go a long ways towards determining postseason seeding, with intriguing matchups throughout the conference that will determine several tiebreakers. Frontier seeding is based on 1.) Conference record 2.) Head-to-Head record 3.) Head-to-Head record against Conference leaders. The Saints have a 1-1 record against Dakota State, Montana Tech, and Rocky, and will be looking to take the season series over the next two teams in the standings, UP & MSU-N, this weekend. Dakota State and Montana Tech will play on Saturday, with the Trojans owning one win in the season series already.

For the first time in 2026, the Fighting Saints are back in the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top-25 Poll, appearing this week at No. 25 in the nation.

The Carroll Women will put a 20-game win-streak over MSU-Northern on the line Saturday night, looking to extend their longest active streak over any opponent, one that dates back to January of 2020.

On the Men's side of the action, the Fighting Saints enter the week tied for second in the standings with Bellevue, both two games back of No. 11 Rocky, while the Bruins own a tiebreaker by virtue of their two wins over the Saints in the season series. Carroll and Bellevue are both two games clear of fourth-place Montana Tech, with Bellevue taking on the Orediggers tonight.

For the second-straight week, and sixth time on the season, the Carroll Men enter the weekend with the league's reigning Defensive Player of the Week. Kellen Harrison (Bozeman, Mont. / SO) earned his fourth DPOTW of the year following an impressive weekend that saw him come away with six steals against Dakota State.

The last time the Saints and Argos met, it was a historic night. Standout guard Isaiah Crane (Portland, Ore. / R-SO) matched a 55-year-old single game program record, scoring 48 points on an 18-20 night from the floor. Crane enters week at No. 3 in the league in scoring, averaging 19.5 points per game, and recently became the 40th member of the Carroll MBB 1,000-point club last weekend at Bellevue.

On Saturday, the Saints will look to avenge a loss to the Lights, who won the first meeting between the schools in Havre last month, 89-73.

Saturday evening's games will be the final scheduled home game for six Carroll seniors, as Isabelle Erickson (Broadview, Mont. / R-SR), Willa Albrecht (Billings, Mont. / R-SR), Meagan Karstetter (Moses Lake, Wash. / SR), Ava Oakland (Boise, Idaho / SR), Lorence Dela Cruz (Winnipeg, Manitoba / SR), and Aidan McGarvin (Eagle, Idaho / SR) will all be recognized for their contributions to their programs in between the Women's and Men's games.

All four games will be streamed live, and broadcast throughout Montana, Northern Idaho, and Eastern Washington on SWX affiliates.
