Saints Begin Second Lap of Frontier Play

10/06/26 | 10:20 AM

HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Volleyball team will begin the second half of their 2026 Frontier Conference slate this evening on the road, taking on Rocky Mountain College at 6 p.m. in Billings.

Halfway through the league schedule, the Fighting Saints (12-6, 7-4) find themselves at No. 3 in the Frontier standings, tied with No. 8 Providence. They'll look to get things going on the right foot in the back-half of the season, starting with a tilt against the Battlin' Bears (3-12, 1-10) tonight at the Fortin Center.

Carroll got of to its best start in over a decade, racing out to a 7-1 record in conference play. The final three games of the first loop, however, proved to be a struggle, as the Saints enter the week on a three-game skid for the first time all season.

Tuesday's match against Rocky is the first of three in another busy week for the Saints. On Friday, Carroll will head up to Havre for a 6 p.m. match at MSU-Northern to close out their season series. The Saints won the first match in Helena, a five-setter on September 5. They will close the weekend out with one more against the Argos of Providence on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Carroll won the first meeting between the teams at home, their first win over a Top-10 team since 2017.

The Saints will once again host the Frontier Conference Championship next month at the PE Center. Finding a way to finish the regular season strong and secure a top seed for the tournament on home court is priority No. 1 for the Saints, as the event moves to Bellevue beginning next Fall.
