HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team defeated Bushnell 1-0 in their 2026 CCC regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at Nelson Stadium, building some momentum heading into the postseason. 

The Fighting Saints (9-5-2, 8-3-1) controlled the first half but simply could not break through, outshooting Bushnell nine shots to two over the opening 45 minutes. Bushnell goalkeeper Aaron Lowry made saves on a pair of shots from Arnaldo Primera (West Midlands, England / FR) in the 27th minute and Luca Holgado (Lausanne, Switzerland / FR) at the very end of the half. Carroll goalkeeper Noah Jordan (Deer Park, Wash. / JR) made the only save of the first half on a shot from Bushnell's Nuno Megre in the 31st minute.

The battle for the second-seed in next week's CCC Championship remained scoreless until the 78th minute when the Saints managed to break the tie. Cyrille Wangama (Spokane, Wash. / SO) put Carroll on top with the match's only goal, a beautiful header off a free-kick assist from Sean Balen (Mukilteo, Wash. / SR).

Carroll finished with a 14-3 edge in shots and a 5-1 edge in shots on goal. All-time leading goal scorer Felix Billard (Mallorco, Spain / SR) led Carroll with five shots, and Pedro Teixeira (Braga, Portugal / R-SR) added four, including two on goal. Lowry made saves on both Teixeira shots, in the 71st and 85th minutes, and finished with four saves for Bushnell.

Noah Jordan got the start and played the first 48 minutes in goal for Carroll, while Dane Quinn (Helena, Mont. / JR) came off the bench and played the rest of the match. Together they combined for the shutout.

The Saints will await final results from around the league, and learn who their opening round opponent will be at next week's CCC Championship.
