BELLEVUE, Neb. — The Carroll College Volleyball team fell in straight sets on Saturday afternoon, dropping a Frontier Conference road contest to No. Bellevue, 25–15, 25–23, 25–20 inside the BU Fieldhouse.

The Fighting Saints (7–6, 2–3) opened the day slowly, as the Bruins (8-2, 4-1) jumped out to an early lead in the first set and never looked back. The Bruins hit .324 in the frame while limiting Carroll to .067, pulling away for a 25–15 win.

Carroll found its rhythm in the second, trading points in a set that featured nine ties and three lead changes. The Saints surged late, taking a 23–22 advantage on a kill from Taysa Conger (Merino, Colo. / SR), but Bellevue closed the set out by earning the final three points to edge out a 25–23 decision.

The third set once again showed Carroll's resilience, as the Saints fought back from an early deficit. Big blocks from Lauren Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / JR) and Birdie Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / FR), along with an ace from Molly O'Connor (Bozeman, Mont. / SR), helped trim the margin to 20–22 late. Bellevue, however, answered with a final push, closing out the match 25–20.

Elizabeth Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / R-SR) paced the Carroll attack with a team-high nine kills while hitting .231, and Lauren Heuiser added six kills and six total blocks for a match-best 11.5 points. 

Setters Jansyn Carrizales (Sunnyside, Wash. / JR) and Lauren Fox (Bozeman, Mont. / FR) combined for 29 assists, while Sofia Kimmel (Bozeman, Mont. / FR) anchored the defense with 13 digs. 

With the longest in-conference road trip of the season in their rear-view, the Saints will return to Helena for a trio of big matches at the PE Center this week, hosting Valley City State, Mayville State, and Montana Tech.
