PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Carroll College Golf teams finished their 2024-25 season on Wednesday afternoon, completing final round play of the 2025 Frontier Conference Championship at the Papago Golf Club in Phoenix.
While neither Carroll team were able to advance their position in the team portion of the event, the Carroll Men posted their best team score of the week, and the Women saw one of the best individual single-round performances in program history on Wednesday.
The Carroll Men finished the tournament in fourth place as a team, with a three-day total of 943 (320, 313, 310).Â
Capping-off an impressive first time competing at a conference championship,
Kyle Kennah (Laurel, Mont. / FR) fired a final round 78 to lead the Saints on the week with a 12th place finish in the individual portion of the event. (78-73-78 | 229 | +13).
Jackson Hammond (Scottsdale, Ariz. / SO) finished five spots below Kennah as Carroll's lone other top-20 individual. Hammond improved his score each round, carding a four-over round of 76 on Wednesday to finish 17th (80-77-76 | 233 | +17).
TJ Fierling (North Bend, Wash. / SO) finished 21st on the week (78, 83, 77 | 238 | +22), and
Tanner Cromwell (Anaconda, Mont. / FR) rounded out the Carroll scorers with a T-23 finish after improving his scores each round (84, 80, 79 |243 | +27).
Rocky Mountain College won the Men's team competition, finishing with a three-day total of 863 (-1). The Battlin' Bears also had the Men's medalist, as Kristjan Burkelca finished seven-under for the week (209 | 68, 72, 69).
Wednesday was a historic day for the Carroll Women's team, as
Ellie Stastny (Murtaugh, Idaho / FR) carded what is believed to be the lowest single-round in a conference championship in program history.
The freshman, who entered the final day tied for 14th in the individual competition vaulted up the leaderboard to a sixth place finish following her highly-impressive final round of 73. Stastny's 73 was the lowest round of the tournament on the Women's side of the action, featuring birdies on both the par-five first and tenth holes, capping her three-day total of 246 (88, 85, 73 | +30). Her twin sister, Alli (Murtaugh, Idaho / FR) finished tied for 13th on the week with a three-day total of 255 (82, 87, 86 | +39).
The Carroll Women finished third place in the team event, with a total of 1047 (+183).
Stella Claridge (Kalispell, Mont. / JR) finished in solo 15th with a three-round total of 260 (81, 87, 92 | +44), while
Lauren Mayala (Billings, Mont. / FR) rounded out the Carroll roster with a 286 total (91, 101, 94 | +70).
It was a clean sweep for Rocky on the week, as the Battlin' Bear Women won the team competition at 968 (+104), and Grace Metcalf took medalist honors with a three-round total of 234 (74, 78, 82 | +18).

The Saints will spend the summer preparing for the 2025-26 season, which will bring with it a slew of new competition as the Frontier Conference welcomes several new institutions.
