HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Golf teams will begin the spring portion of their 2024-25 season on Saturday, as both teams compete in the Pacific Invitational in North Plains, Ore.

The Fighting Saints have spent all winter working on their swings indoors in Helena's various simulators, with sporadic availability on course, but will finally get their chance to compete once again this week at the Pacific Invitational.

The event features a mix of NCAA Division III schools as well as several Northwest NAIA teams competing.

On the Women's side, the team will look to build off a strong Fall portion of the schedule in which they set a new program tournament record on their home course in October. The Five Saints getting the start will be Celi Chapman (Montana City, Mont. / SO), Stella Claridge (Kalispell, Mont. / JR), Lauren Mayala (Billings, Mont. / FR), Allie Stastny (Murtaugh, Idaho / FR) and Ellie Stastny (Murtaugh, Idaho / FR).

A young Men's team is also making strides towards competing for a Frontier title once again, and five Saints will look to start the spring strong. TJ Fierling (North Bend, Wash. / SO), JT Slivinski (Montpelier, Idaho / SO), Hudson Reinki (Filer, Idaho / FR), Jackson Hammond (Scottsdale, Ariz. / SO), and Tanner Cromwell (Anaconda, Mont. / FR).

The teams will have the opportunity to tee it up at one of the Pacific Northwest's finest tracks, as they'll play 18 holes each day on the Ghost Creek course at Pumpkin Ridge. The Ghost Creek course has hosted numerous high-level amateur and professional events, including the LPGA Safeway Classic, and perhaps most notably the 1995 U.S. Amateur in which Tiger Woods won in a playoff.
