Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

No. 19 Carroll Women Drop Third-Straight

HELENA, Mont. - The No. 19-ranked Carroll Women's Basketball team dropped their third consecutive game on Thursday evening, falling 62-45 to (RV) Rocky Mountain College at the PE Center.

The Fighting Saints (17-10, 9-5) and Battlin' Bears (18-9, 10-4) played the most important game of the 2024-25 season on Thursday, with the Bears running away with the win and at least a share of the Frontier title.

Fresh off of a career-high 29 points on Saturday, Kyndall Keller (Havre, Mont. / R-SR) picked up right where she left off. The All-Conference guard scored nine first quarter points to pace the Saints, but Carroll would trail after one with a balanced Bears attack seeing points from all five of their starters.

Rocky's Paige Wasson and Sydney Dethman combined for nine points in the second quarter, matching the team total from the Saints. Isabelle Heggem and Angie Cavanough combined for the other five Rocky points as the Bears extended their lead heading into the break, 31-24.

The Bears broke the game open in the third quarter, as Wasson scored five and Gracee Lekvold added seven points in Rocky's highest-scoring frame of the game. Carroll struggled to get much going offensively coming out of the break, shooting just 2-10 from the field, leading to a 49-32 deficit heading into the fourth.

The offensive output picked up a little for the Saints in the fourth, but Rocky answered the call with a 6-9 effort from the floor, matching the Saints' 13 points in the frame to walk out with a 62-47 win and at least a share of the Frontier crown.

Four Bears scored in double figures (Wasson, Dethman, Lekvold, Heggem), led by Wasson's 16 points.

Kyndall Keller was the lone Saint to score at least 10 points, finishing her night with 12 points and five rebounds.

A long and tall Rocky roster dominated the glass on the night, out-rebounding Carroll 35-23.

The Saints will wrap up the 2024-25 regular season with a road trip to Havre for a Saturday afternoon matinee at MSU-Northern, and can lock up the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Frontier tournament with a win.
