HELENA, Mont. - Five Carroll Volleyball seniors played their final (regular season) game at the Carroll College PE Center on Friday night, and all five were sent off on a high note with a 3-1 win over Dickinson State to close out their Frontier Conference slate.

After a disappointing loss in Dickinson last month, the Fighting Saints (17-13, 12-10) handled their business in the second game of the home-and-home series on Friday.

The Saints came out of the gates hot, hitting .220 as a team in an opening set win to set the tone. Elizabeth Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / R-SR) led the potent Carroll attack in the first, with five of her nine kills coming in the 25-15 win.

The second set of the night was one to forget for the Saints. The frame was by far their worst hitting set of the evening, as the team hit .025 with eight errors en route to the Blue Hawks' only win of the evening, 25-22.

A 7-2 run to begin the third frame was just what Carroll needed to bounce back, as they carried momentum and stretched their lead out to 17-6 in a hurry. Molly O'Connor (Bozeman, Mont. / SR) ended the set with an ace, giving the Saints a 25-17 win to go ahead 2-1 in the match.

The fourth and final frame of the night was the most competitive of the evening, with both teams going back-and-forth throughout. Dickinson State held a 22-21 lead late, but three big time kills from seniors Taysa Conger (Merino, Colo.) and Sidney Gulick (Kalispell, Mont.) helped the Saints close out the win, 25-22.

Gulick had an outstanding night, leading the Saints with 24 digs, while matching both Conger and Lauren Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / JR) with nine kills. 

Molly O'Connor had an impressive five aces, and Jansyn Carrizales (Sunnyside, Wash. / JR) led Carroll with 22 assists.

The Saints will await the results of the league matches tomorrow before finding out what seed they'll be and who they will face in the quarterfinals of next week's Frontier Conference Championship in Helena.
