HELENA, Mont. - The No. 16-ranked Carroll Women's Basketball team will host their annual Thanksgiving Classic this weekend at the CC PE Center, with the event featuring four nationally ranked teams - Carroll, No. 14 Rocky, No. 10 Lewis-Clark State, and No. 21 Oregon Tech. 

The Fighting Saints (3-2, 2-1) are no stranger to strong non-conference competition, and this year's Thanksgiving Classic is a prime example of Head Coach Rachelle Sayers' mindset when it comes to scheduling quality opponents. 

Friday night at 6 p.m., the Saints will take on No. 10 LC State, followed by a Saturday evening tilt with No. 21 Oregon Tech at 5 p.m.

Rocky is the fourth team in the event, and will play the opposite schedule, with OIT on Friday at 4 p.m. and LC State on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Saints have plenty of experience against the pair of top teams in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Carroll and LC State have squared-off nearly every season for the last decade-plus, with the exception of the 2022-23 season. The last ten meetings have seen both teams win five each, with the Warriors getting a lopsided win in the most recent meeting in Lewiston last November. The last time the Warriors came to Carroll for the Thanksgiving Classic in 2023, the Saints picked up a 91-79 win.

While the Saints and Owls have only met once in the last 10 years, the game was a memorable one for the Saints. Carroll picked up a 61-46 win over OIT in the second round of the 2023 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, punching their ticket to Sioux City, Iowa where they would advance further than any other team in program history.

All four games will be streamed live on the Fighting Saints Network, free of charge, and live stats will be available for each game.
