Four Fighting Saints Named All-Frontier

11/19/25 | 9:50 AM

HELENA, Mont. - The Frontier Conference has announced its 2025 Volleyball Postseason Awards and All-Conference Teams. Four Carroll standouts were recognized for their significant on-court contributions during the 2025 season.

With the 2025 season officially in the books, the Fighting Saints (17-14) saw four of their best recognized for their outstanding play throughout the new-look Frontier slate, which included a 22-game regular season with six new conference members.

One Saint was named a First Team All-Conference selection, two earned Second Team nods, and one more was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection.

FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE
McKaila Balcom (Pasco, Wash. / JR)
Balcom was a force to be reckoned with all season long. The southpaw right side was Carroll's kill leader on the season, finishing with 276 kills in her 111 sets played for a 2.49 kills/set mark. The junior hit .252 on her 733 total attempts, the second-best mark on the 2025 team. Her breakout season saw her eclipse the 200-kill mark for the first time in her three-year career. On the defensive end, Balcom was third on the team with 51 blocks on the year. The First Team honor is the first All-Conference recognition of her career

SECOND TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE
Sidney Gulick (Kalispell, Mont. / SR)
Gulick was one of the best all-around players on the court for the Saints in the 2025 season, posting top-five marks in nearly all major categories. She was fifth on the team in kills, finishing with 184 total and a .124 attack percentage. She posted 201 digs on the year, far and away the most of her four-year career, and finished with 39 total blocks on the season - the fourth best mark on the 2025 team. This is Gulick's first All-Conference honor, and her first postseason recognition since being named to the 2022 All-Freshman team.

Elizabeth Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / R-SR)
One of the best in program history, Elizabeth Heuiser closed out her five-year career with a Second Team All-Conference honor - even after missing significant time with illness. A formidable presence at the net, Heuiser finished third on the team with 196 kills on the season, averaging 2.31 kills/set and hitting a team-best .255 over her 85 sets played. The redshirt-senior, who missed the entirety of the 2023 season with injury, accomplished a major career milestone in 2025, joining the 1,000 kill club at Carroll. The former All-American finished with 1055 career kills, and a .252 hitting percentage. Additionally, she once again led the Saints in blocks, finishing the season with 90. This is Heuiser's fourth All-Frontier selection.

HONORABLE MENTION ALL-CONFERENCE
Lauren Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / JR)
Joining her sister with postseason accolades, Lauren Heuiser was named an Honorable Mention All-Frontier performer for the first time in her career. Much like Gulick, she was an all-around leader for the Saints, finishing top-five in several stat categories. She was one of two Saints to post 200 or more kills, finishing second on the team with 231 (2.06 kills/set) with a .166 hitting percentage. She was also second on the team in blocks, finishing with 87, and third on the team with 24 aces over the course of the season.
