No. 24 Saints Finish First Lap of Frontier Slate in N.D.

10/03/25 | 11:49 AM

HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll Volleyball team is in North Dakota for their final two games before the halfway point of the 2025 Frontier Conference regular season, taking on Bismarck State at 5 p.m. on Friday, and Dickinson State at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Fighting Saints (11-6, 6-3) will look to finish the first half of the season on a high-note, aiming to take care of business against the Mystics and Blue Hawks this weekend.

For the first time since 2022, the Saints will enter the weekend pair ranked inside of the NAIA Top-25, checking in as one of just three ranked Frontier teams at No. 24.

Carroll is riding a four-game win-streak, their longest since a seven-game streak early in the 2024 season.

Elizabeth Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / R-SR) and Jansyn Carrizales (Sunnyside, Wash. / JR) both come into the weekend at No. 5 in the Frontier in blocks per set (Heuiser - 1.05 b/st) and assists per set (Carrizales - 5.46 a/set).

Friday's game against Bismarck State (2-12, 0-9) will mark the first meetings between the two schools, as the Mystics are in their first year of NAIA membership after transitioning from the junior college ranks this summer.

Dickinson State had a great start to the 2025 season, receiving votes in the NAIA Poll following back-to-back wins over then-ranked No. 24 Dakota State and No. 3 Bellevue, but have fallen off the pace in recent weeks. The Blue Hawks enter the weekend on a seven-game skid.
