KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the October 27 edition of the Netting Professionals NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. For the sixth week in a row, the Carroll Football team moved up in the poll, now sitting at No. 8 in the nation.
Although they were idle this past weekend with a well-earned bye week, the Fighting Saints (6-1, 3-0) once again saw a lift in the weekly coaches' poll - moving up one spot to No. 8.

8. Carroll (Mont.), 6-1
Carroll was off last week, and the Fighting Saints are back in action Saturday at Southern Oregon for a 2 p.m. MDT kickoff. Prior to the break, Carroll topped Simpson (Calif.), 44-0, adding to the team's total in the touchdown passes category, where Carroll's 23 passing TDs rank eighth in the NAIA.

The Saints remain one of four Frontier Conference teams inside the nation's Top-25. Frontier-East leaders, Montana Tech, slid back one spot to No. 5. College of Idaho moved up one spot to No. 15 following their 7-0 win over Eastern Oregon, while Montana Western remained at No. 20 following their lopsided win over Simpson. Dakota State is the lone Frontier team appearing in the receiving votes portion of the poll.
This is the first time since the October 2 Poll of the 2023 season that Carroll has occupied the No. 8 spot in the Coaches' Poll.

- The national poll is for publicity purposes only and does not influence the selection process for national championship consideration.
- A panel of head coaches representing each conference and the Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) votes in the poll.
- The Top 25 teams are selected using a points-based system:
- 30 points for a 1st-place vote, 29 for 2nd, 28 for 3rd, and so on.
- The highest and lowest rankings received by each team are discarded before final tallying.
- Teams receiving only one point are not listed as "receiving votes."
