HELENA, Mont. - The (RV) Carroll Volleyball team begins their final road stanza of the 2025 regular season this weekend, heading East for a pair of critical late-season matchups at Mayville State and Valley City State on Friday and Saturday.

The Fighting Saints (14-10, 9-7) picked up a pair of much-needed wins last week, going 2-3 with a sweep of Rocky and a thrilling five-set victory over No. 24 Dakota State to remain in the postseason hunt.

With only a handful of games remaining on the '25 slate, the Saints are positioned well to punch their ticket to the 2025 Frontier Conference Volleyball Championship next month - an event hosted at the Carroll College PE Center.

Carroll is currently sixth in the Frontier Conference standings, an important spot with only eight of the league's twelve teams qualifying for the postseason tournament. Rocky, Bismarck State, and Mayville State have all been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention - setting the stage for a nine-team battle for eight spots.

The Saints have an excellent opportunity to lock-in their spot this weekend in North Dakota. Friday night at 6 p.m., they'll look to complete the season sweep of Valley City State, who enters the week tied for eighth in the league standings with Dickinson State (7-9 conf.).

Following a quick turnaround, they'll square-off with Mayville State at 1 p.m., one of the bottom three teams that have already been eliminated. 

Carroll already has wins over both programs this season, beating the Comets in five and Vikings in three back in September in Helena.

A weekend sweep would all-but guarantee a Carroll berth in Frontier Championship, where the Saints would have the benefit of home-court advantage throughout.
