HELENA, Mont. - Victory Sports Network has released their compilation of the 25 best NAIA Quarterbacks of all-time, with former Carroll standout Tyler Emmert sitting at the top of the list.

Undoubtedly the greatest gunslinger to ever don the Purple & Gold, Tyler Emmert is one of the most decorated individuals in both Carroll College and NAIA history.

Emmert was a four-year starter for the Fighting Saints, helping kick-start what may be the most dominant run of any program in college football history. All said and done, Emmert finished his career with an overall record of 47-4 as a starter.

The Helena-native was three-time NAIA All-American, three-time NAIA National Championship Game MVP, two-time NAIA Player of the Year and four-time NAIA National Champion in his career, spanning from 2002-2005.

He ranks No. 3 all-time in the NAIA in Total Offense with 13,979 yards. He also has the highest completions percentage in a career (minimum 500 completions) at .704 (1037-1473). At the time of his graduation, that mark was the highest in collegiate football history at any level (NCAA, NAIA). Over his storied career, Emmert threw for 110 touchdown passes, 38 of which coming in the 2003 season.

Outside of his outstanding on-field accomplishments, Emmert was just as disciplined in the classroom. He was a three-time NAIA Academic All-America selection and received the NAIA A.O. Duer Award (the A.O. Duer Scholarship Award recognizes one male and one female junior student-athlete who has excelled in scholarship, character, and citizenship) as the nation's top student-athlete in 2004. He was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 2013, and continued to coach the Saints for several seasons upon graduation.

The Emmert name is still alive and well at Carroll, as Tyler and Amy's daughter, Kathryn Emmert is currently a freshman on the Women's Soccer team.
