HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Basketball teams will head 90 miles North up I-15 for a Saturday afternoon doubleheader against the University of Providence, with games tipping off at the McLaughlin Center at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Saturday afternoon will provide the No. 22-ranked Carroll Women with another opportunity to separate themselves from the pack, and further distance the gap between them and the No. 23-ranked Argos in the Frontier standings.

This Frontier season has played out much different for two of the four NAIA semifinalists from a year ago, as the pair find themselves on opposite ends of the league standings.

Carroll opened Frontier play with a 65-61 win over the then-ranked No. Argos on January 4, and have continued their strong play to a conference best 5-1 record. Providence, on the other hand, have struggled to get things going in the early portion of the league schedule, sitting near the bottom with a 2-4 record in league play.

There's no question these are still two of the better teams in a loaded Frontier Conference talent-wise, and a tightly-contested physical game will likely ensue.

On the Men's side of the action, the Fighting Saints are surging, and are one of the hottest teams in the league.

Carroll has won three straight in league play, overcoming an 0-3 start to the Frontier slate to even their record at 3-3 with wins over No. 19 Rocky, MSU-Northern, and Montana Western.

Isaiah Crane (Portland, Ore. / R-FR) has emerged as one of the best offensive weapons in the conference, and currently leads the Frontier in scoring at 17.2 ppg.

Carroll will look to climb even with the Argos in the league standings, hoping to also tie up the season series after falling 83-78 in the first meeting between the pair of schools in Helena earlier this month.

Both games will be streamed live HERE.
