HELENA, Mont. - The (RV) Carroll College Volleyball team will play another receiving votes team in Rocky Mountain College this evening at 7 p.m. inside the Fortin Education Center in Billings.
The Fighting Saints (12-3, 2-2) will look to go above .500 in Frontier Conference play for the first time this season against the Battlin' Bears (9-7, 1-3).
A four-set win over MSU-Northern started the week for the Saints, and now they are ready for their first conference road game of the season tonight in Billings.
Carroll will complete their first of three laps around the Frontier Conference tonight, and aim to come out with a winning record.
Entering the game, Carroll has dropped five straight meetings between the two schools dating back to 2022, including a five set thriller in the Frontier Tournament last November.
The 2024 Saints are a much different team than last year, and so is Rocky. The Bears are under direction of a new head coach, Aubrey Beaumont, who was hired this past summer.
Julia Carr (Portland, Ore. / GR) is once again leading the nation in digs per set (6.93), and the Carroll attackers have been much more efficient this season as well. Three Helena natives, Elizabeth Hueiser (R-JR),
Lauren Heuiser (SO), and
Rachael Stacey (JR) all have over 100 kills on the season (E. Hueiser - 140, L. Heuiser - 135, Stacey - 105).
First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Fortin Center.Â
