SHELBY, Mont. - The Carroll Golf teams are officially underway in their 2024-25 season, kicking off play at the Argo Sizzler at Marias Valley Golf Club in Shelby.

The Carroll Men sit in third place, with a team score of +45 behind Montana Tech (+27) and Rocky (+4).

TJ Fierling (North Bend, Wash. / SO) fired the round of the day for the Fighting Saints, shooting a 73 (+1), in the second round. JT Slivinski (Montpelier, Idaho / SO) is right on his heels at +4 (76), while Tanner Cromwell (Anaconda, Mont. / FR) and Caleb Spangler (Havre, Mont. / JR) round out the Carroll four with rounds of 78 and 79, respectively,

On the Women's side Celi Chapman (Montana City, Mont. / SO) paced the Saints with an opening round +7 (79), while Stella Claridge (Kalispell, Mont. / JR) fired an opening round 80 (+8). The Stastny twins, Alli and Ellie, (Murtaugh, Idaho / FR) each shot 82 (+10) in their first collegiate action to round out the Carroll four.

Both the Men and Women will tee it up again in the final round tomorrow morning, looking to advance their position at the season's first event.
