Butte, Mont. – The Fighting Saints closed out a tremendous season at the Frontier Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships Sunday and Monday.

Carroll placed second for both the men and women, with the Saints women surpassing Rocky who was initially projected to take second. Montana Tech won the championship on both sides.

The Saints women won three events throughout Day 2. This included the 400m (Madalen Shipman), 400m Hurdles (Rylee Herbstritt), and Women's 4x400m Relay. For men, Weston Means (High Jump) and Zack Gacnik (5000m) won events. Herbstritt's race set a personal record and moved her up to 5th on Carroll's Top 10 Performance List.

While personal records were sparse with the windy conditions, Carroll had several other All-Conference (Top 3) performances Monday as well. This included Madison Lewis (Shot Put), Gabby Domenici (High Jump), Chloe Raats (400m), Sophie Loveless (Triple Jump), Isabelle Ruff (800m), Peter Rehberger (800m), Brycen Gardner (800m), Sorren Reese (400m Hurdles), Tucker Monaco (400m Hurdles), Connor O'Hara (5000m), and the Men's 4x400m Relay (2nd). Rehberger's 800m was his fastest ever over that distance outside of a relay.

"We're incredibly proud of how our athletes showed up to compete," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "They fought for every extra point across all event areas, and the future is looking really bright with so many athletes returning next year."

In the next few weeks the team will either prepare for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships or head to rest time before summer training commences.

The Fighting Saints currently have equaled their largest number of Outdoor National Qualifiers in the past 5 years with the following: Monaco (Decathlon), Gardner (3000m Steeplechase, 1500m), Weston Means (High Jump), Josh Smalley (Pole Vault), Reuben Hornby (Javelin), Zack Gacnik (10,000m, 5,000m), Men's 4x800m Relay (Peter Rehberger, Marco Gonzalez-Sosa, Wyatt Ehredt, Kaiden Romney), Chloe Gallagher (Pole Vault), and Sorren Reese (Javelin).
