HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has announced the first edition of the 2024-25 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men's & Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week. Carroll student-athletes
Zack Gacnik and
Madalen Shipman have swept the Frontier Track Athletes of the Week honors.
Men's Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Zach Gacnik, Carroll
Gacnik, a junior from Conifer, Colo., was chosen as the Men's Track Athlete-of-the-Week.
Gacnik picked up where he left off in cross country, as the 2024 All-American won the 5000-meter run with a time of 15 minutes, 15.47 seconds at the Bobcat Preview for the Saints.
He hit the NAIA 'B' provisional qualifying time for the Indoor Track & Field National Championship.
Women's Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Madalen Shipman, Carroll
Shipman, a junior from Dillon, Mont., was chosen as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week.
Shipman was one of the two national qualifiers at the Bobcat Preview for the Saints.
She hit the NAIA 'B' provisional qualifying mark in the 600-meter run, placing second in the event with a time of 1 minute, 37.72 seconds, finishing as the top NAIA runner in the event.
