HELENA, Mont. - The Associated Press (AP) NAIA All-American teams were released on Friday morning. Two Carroll College student-athletes were recognized for their on-field achievements, Hunter Peck and Carson Ochoa. \The AP All-American teams are selected by a select panel of sports writers and sports information directors.

Carroll defensive lineman Hunter Peck (Windsor, Colo. / SR) earned Second Team AP All-American honors.

Peck continues to pile on postseason accolades after a stellar senior campaign in which he was as disruptive as any player in the nation. The senior was named Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, and an AFCA NAIA First Team All-American. In total, Peck finished the year with 50 tackles (22 solo, 28 assisted), in addition to 6.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery. 

Peck was also recently named a finalist for the 2024 Cliff Harris Award, recognizing the best Small College defensive player in the nation.

Tight end Carson Ochoa (Yorba Linda, Calif. / R-JR) was also selected as an AP Second Team All-American.

Ochoa was a force all season long, proving to be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. The big tight end finished tied for the team-lead in receptions with 47. He totaled 525 yards (11.17 yards per catch) and four touchdowns and was named a First Team All-Frontier selection.

This is the first AP All-American honor for each player, and the first AP Honors since the 2022 season in which Garrett Kocab earned First Team AP honors and Andrew Carter earned Second Team AP honors.
