Men's Basketball | 12/14/24 | 12:28 PM
HELENA, Mont. - For the second Saturday in a row, the Carroll Men's Basketball team will hit their home court in an afternoon non-conference game, hosting Northwest (Wash.) at 3 p.m. in the Carroll College PE Center.
The Fighting Saints (3-7) will look to put an end to a three-game slide, and have a great opportunity to do so against an Eagles team that enters the game with just one win on the season.
A young, but talented, Carroll roster has had an up and down start to the 2024-25 season. The Saints started the year hot, picking up a ranked-win and pushing former No. 1 team in the NAIA Arizona Christian into overtime, but have struggled in recent weeks.
Saturday is a new opportunity for the Saints, and they'll get their shot at ending the losing streak against their seventh Cascade Collegiate Conference opponent of the season, Northwest.
Similar to Carroll's run through the CCC, the Eagles have played three Frontier Conference opponents already this season. Northwest is 0-3 against Frontier Competition on the year, including a 76-72 loss at Providence on Friday.
The Saints are 3-1 on the season when scoring 83 points or more, and 0-6 in games scoring 82 points or fewer. Entering this afternoon's game, Carroll is averaging just 29 percent from three point range as a team, but the Saints have shot 36 percent or better from range in all three of their season wins.Â
This afternoon's game will be streamed live on the
Fighting Saints Network, and live stats can be followed
