 WACO, TEXAS — The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) has announced the 2024 AFCA NAIA Coaches' All-America Teams. Carroll College defensive lineman Hunter Peck has been named a First Team All-American following an outstanding senior campaign.

The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know the players the best — the coaches themselves.

Coaches around the nation saw what those in Helena and the Frontier Conference have seen for several years now, Hunter Peck (Windsor, Colo. / SR) is one of the best in the country.

Peck was selected as a First Team All-American on the defensive line, becoming Carroll's first AFCA NAIA First Team selection since Garrett Kocab in the 2022 season.

Similar to Kocab 2022, Peck was dominant in his senior season earning Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors in addition to a First Team All-Conference nod. In total, Peck finished the year with 50 tackles (22 solo, 28 assisted), in addition to 6.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery.

Over the last four seasons, Peck has grown into an elite defensive playmaker. He'll finish his Carroll career with 132 total tackles (67 solo, 65 assisted), 26.5 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one recovery.

Earlier this season, Peck garnered NAIA Defensive Player of the Week honors following a 10 tackle, 3.0 TFL, two sack performance against Eastern Oregon.

The captain has been equally as impressive off the field, having been named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell trophy, a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and Carroll's recipient of the 2024 Montana Athletes in Service Award.

Peck is one of three Frontier Conference members to appear on the AFCA First Team (Yates, Lombard), and one of just six total Frontier players appearing on any of the three teams.

Peck's No. 19 jersey will now join an exclusive ring of standout Fighting Saints in the club level of Nelson Stadium, recognizing the best of the best in Carroll history.
