HELENA, Mont. - The Frontier Conference regular season rolls on, and Saturday will be the first meetings of the season between the Carroll College and Montana Tech Basketball teams. The Women will tip at 2 p.m., with the Men following at 4 p.m. at the Carroll College PE Center.

The Carroll Women (11-3, 2-0) are currently No. 5 in the nation, and look to be hitting their stride as the Frontier slate ramps up. They'll look for their third-straight conference win to start the year against the Orediggers (10-5, 1-1).

The Saints have won 13-consecutive Frontier games dating back to January of last season, and don't look to be slowing down any time soon.

Carroll has seen production throughout their lineup, and all five of their anticipated starters are averaging eight points per game or more.

The Saints are the more efficient of the two teams by a wide margin entering the weekend matchup. As a team, Carroll is shooting 42 percent from the floor on the season, and 32.8 percent from three point range. The Orediggers are just 34 percent from the field as a team, and a meager 26 percent from three point range.

If Carroll can control the boards, they will have a strong chance to extend their 20-game win-streak over Montana Tech.

The Men's side of the action features the two teams with the most success over the last three seasons, and the winner will emerge as the last unbeaten league team to start the season.

Kendall Moore's (Dayton, Ohio / JR) buzzer beater on Thursday night helped secure Carroll's second-straight Frontier win, and is a nice momentum builder heading into today's matchup with No. 7 Montana Tech.

The Orediggers were the unanimous pick to win the league in the preseason, but have been put to the test in both of their Frontier games this season. They escaped over No. 15 Rocky last weekend in overtime, and managed to hold off MSU-Northern by just two points on Thursday in Havre.

The Saints will look to slow down the nation's No. 26 scoring offense (87.7 points per game), and will look for more strong play from their back court, featuring three players averaging greater than 10 points per game (Cook 18.9, Moore 14.0, Lang 10.6).

This afternoon's games will be streamed live on the Fighting Saints Network - presented by Point S Tire & Auto Service.
