Carroll Volleyball Falls in Three Sets to St. Thomas

HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Volleyball team fell in straight sets to St. Thomas (Fla.) this morning in a rare morning match at the Carroll College PE Center.

The Fighting Saints (5-7) could not get anything going in an early morning bout with the Bobcats (7-2) today at the PE Center,

In a game that was altered due to St. Thomas travel structure, the Saints and the Bobcats squared off early in Helena on Saturday. Unfortunately for Saints fans, the game would not fall in their favor.

St. Thomas breezed to a three-set victory, without allowing the Saints attack to ever get rolling. The Bobcats won 25-15, 25-18, and 25-17 to take the three set sweep over Carroll.

Lauren Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / FR) led the Saints in Kills, finishing with 7 in the match. Julia Carr (Portland, Ore. / SR) finished with 13 digs on the morning.

Amanda Allende finished with 11 kills for the Bobcats to lead all players, while Peyton Bertke finished with a game-high 35 assists.

The Saints will head to Dillon, Mont. next weekend for their first taste of what the Frontier Conference will look like in 2023 at the Frontier Conference Tune-up event.
