HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Volleyball team will get their first look at the rest of the Frontier Conference this weekend at the Conference Preview event, hosted by Montana Western on Friday and Saturday.
The Fighting Saints (5-7) were jet-setters in the non-conference portion of their 2023 schedule, traveling to tournaments in both Texas and California, while also hosting one of their own. Now, nearly a month into the season, they get the opportunity to match up with some familiar foes.
The Frontier Conference Preview rotates between host schools each season, and this year will be held in Dillon at Montana Western. All six of the Frontier Schools will compete in a round robin-style tournament, with none of the games counting towards the final Conference standings.
The event is a unique opportunity for each team to feel out the others, get an idea of how they want to play, and prepare for the two-month long Frontier season.
Carroll has already had the chance to see Rocky Mountain College live and in-person, as the Bears participated in the Carroll Invitational here in Helena last month.
The Saints will play two matches on both Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, Carroll will take on MSU-Northern (6-5) at 9 a.m., and then turn around for a match with Providence (7-5) at 1 p.m.
Saturday will see the Saints play No. 11 Montana Tech (8-2) at 1 p.m., before the Saints wrap up the event with host school Montana Western (10-1) at 6 p.m.
All games will be streamed live, free of charge through Montana Western's YouTube channel.
