Juan Muniz Navarette Earns CCC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) has announced the recipients of the Rize Laboratory Players of the Week for their performances during competition from Aug. 21-27, 2023. Carroll College Men's Soccer Player, Juan Muniz Navarette has been named Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Muniz Navarrette is a sophomore goalkeeper from Hermiston, Ore. who transferred to the Saints from Multnomah University this offseason.

Muniz Navarette was the backbone of the Fighting Saints in a 0-0 draw in their first official game of the season at NCAA Division III Whitworth University on Friday in Spokane

Making his first start as a Saint, Muniz Navarette posted five saves, keeping a clean sheet and securing his first shutout.

Up next for Muniz Navarette and the Saints is a trip to Billings for a contest with NCAA Division II opponent, MSU Billings on Saturday.
