HELENA, Mont. – Head Coach Ryan Lundgren has finalized his 2023 recruiting class, announcing the signing of
Isaiah Crane to round out the 2023-24 Carroll Men's Basketball team.
The first four-year player that Lundgren has brought on,
Isaiah Crane is a six-foot, one-inch guard from Jesuit High School in Portland, Ore.
"Isaiah is a valuable piece in this 2023 recruiting class." Said Lundgren of the newest addition. "As one of the top guards in the Portland metro area, he has competed against some of the best competition in the Pacific Northwest since a young age."
As a senior at Jesuit, Crane averaged 15.2 points, three assists, five rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. In 2022-23 he was named First Team All-Metro League in the Portland area, and led his team to two Metro-League championships. In addition to being named All-Metro League, Crane was an Honorable Mention All-State selection.
"…Isaiah is long and athletic, which has tremendous impact on his ability to defend multiple positions. On the offensive side of the ball, his athleticism allows him to get by his defender and make plays in the paint. Isaiah possesses a high-basketball IQ and does a great job making the right read as a facilitator. He will be a huge piece of our Carroll program for the next four years."
Crane and the rest of the Saints are on campus, getting settled into the rigors of academia at Carroll and participating in open gyms before practices officially start next month.
