Garrett Kocab Named Frontier Conference Field Athlete of the Week

WHITEFISH, Mont. – Garrett Kocab of Carroll College has been selected the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Kocab, a senior from Phelan, Calif. is the field athlete of the week. At the 2023 Frontier Conference Championships hosted by Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont; he won the shot put (16.05 meters) and the discus (53.23 meters) as well as finishing fourth in the hammer (43.54). His winning throws in the discus and shot were NAIA-A standard throws. In addition to the weekly honor, Kocab was named the Field Athlete of the Meet.

This marks the second time that Kocab has garnered the weekly honor in the 2023 season, as well as the third-consecutive week that a Carroll student-athlete has been recognized.
