Helena, Mont. – The majority of the Saints Track & Field Team travels to Great Falls, Mont. this Friday for the Providence Open.
After snow limited last week's home meet events, many athletes will be happy to be back in action following a weekend off of competition. It will also be the opening meet for several field and sprint events for the Saints including the pole vault, both hurdle races, and the 4x100m Relay.
"We're ready for the great weather and to finally get our first marks in for some important areas," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "We'll have a full bus in Great Falls with lots of our athletes entered in multiple events," he added.
A small portion of the team will travel to Spokane, Wash. for select events at the Whitworth Peace Meet, also on Friday. The competition will host a 10,000m race and the 3,000m Steeplechase, events that won't be offered in Great Falls.
On Friday in Great Falls, both field events and running events will begin at 10:00 am. Running events will have a rolling schedule with each race starting at the conclusion of the previous.
