HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll Volleyball team will host their final home contest of the 2023 season tonight, taking on MSU-Northern at 7 p.m. in the Carroll College PE Center.
The Fighting Saints (5-19, 0-8) will look to end their 15-game skid, and send their group of seniors out with one final win in the PE Center tonight over the Skylights (10-13, 2-6), who sit just one spot in front of them in the standings.
Five seniors,
Mara Lynch (Bozeman, Mont.),
Bella Hawk (Charlo, Mont.),
Lauren Sehenuk (Los Angeles, Calif.), Lexi Gleasman (Chelan, Wash.), and
Maddie Wilkes (Pocatello, Idaho) will all play their final game at Carroll this evening, and the group will be recognized for their achievements and contributions to the program prior to tonight's game.
The group will look to turn things around, and provide their squad with some momentum, heading into the Frontier Conference tournament next week in Great Falls.
The 2023 Saints have struggled through injuries this season, and the senior class is no stranger to setbacks.
Lauren Sehenuk landed awkwardly earlier this season, forcing her out of the majority of at least one Carroll home game, Lexi Gleasman saw a significant knee injury derail her 2022 campaign, and
Maddie Wilkes missed much of the current season with an arm injury. All are healthy tonight, however, and will look to end their time on the hilltop with a win over the Skylights tonight.
Mara Lynch has been on a tear as of late. The senior from Bozeman has 42 kills in her last three games, with a .238 hitting percentage in those games, to go along with 49 digs defensively.
Tonight's game will be streamed live on the
Fighting Saints Network - presented by Point S Tire & Auto Service, and live stats can be followed
