HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Volleyball team will look to get their first Frontier Conference win tonight as they take on MSU-Northern at 7 p.m. in Havre, Mont.
The Fighting Saints (5-14, 0-3) will face-off with the team tied with them in the Frontier Conference Volleyball standings tonight in the Skylights (8-10, 0-3).
The Saints and Skylights have had several tightly-contested battles in recent memory. Over the last ten meetings between the two schools, Northern has the slight edge, having won six to Carroll's four, including a 3-1 victory at the Frontier Conference preview in Dillon last month.
Carroll enters tonight's game with a bit of momentum. While their record doesn't reflect it, the team has made strides over the past several games. Several underclassmen who have been thrust into action due to injuries are starting to figure things out. The game is starting to slow down for them, and the team as whole is beginning to gel on the court.
Julia Carr (Portland, Ore. / SR), for the second time this season, enters the week as the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Carr is currently No. 2 in the NAIA in digs per set (6.82).
