HELENA, Mont. - The Frontier Conference has announced the winners of its weekly individual awards. Carroll's
Spencer Berger has been named the week six Erck Hotels Frontier Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week.
Spencer Berger is a five-foot, ten-inch sophomore kicker from Billings, Mont.
In No. 9-ranked Carroll's 43-3 win over MSU-Northern on Saturday, Berger was perfect on seven total attempts. He made a pair of 42-yard field goals, and went 5-5 on PAT attempts, finishing his day with a career-high 11 points.
This marks the fourth time that a Carroll Football student-athlete has won one of the Frontier Individual awards (
Hunter Peck - DPOTW week one,
Tug Smith - DPTOW week two,
Jack Prka - OPOTW week three).
This is the first time since 2022 that Berger has won the conference's special teams award. He last received the recognition on September 19, 2022 for his performance against Eastern Oregon in which he was also named the NAIA National Special Teams Player of the Week.
Berger and the Saints are idle this week, and will rest, recover, and prepare for a road trip to Eastern Oregon next weekend.
