DILLON, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's Basketball team is on the road in Dillon, Mont. for a showdown with Montana Western, looking to snap a two-game skid at 7 p.m tonight.
The Fighting Saints (8-9, 2-4) dropped a pair of Frontier Conference games last weekend in Helena, and will look to get back on track tonight against Montana Western (8-11, 3-3).
Carroll has been streaky this season. The Saints have shown the ability to score, and to play lock-down defense, but have struggled to put the two together at times. Consistency is key, and the Saints will have to rely on consistent performances from their young core to turn things around with the season dwindling.
Carroll's
Andrew Cook (Huntington Beach, Calif. / SO) has been a consistent scoring threat for the Saints, currently sitting in second in the Frontier Conference with 17.1 points per game. Cook will square off with another top-five league scorer tonight, Western's Ky Kouba, who is averaging 12.8 points per game on the year.
Brendan Temple (Castle Rock, Colo. / SR) has been a force in the paint, leading the conference with 7.6 rebounds per game, while the Bulldogs have the conference's leading three-point percentage shooter in Michael Haverfield (58.2 percent).
Carroll got the better of the Bulldogs in the last meeting between the two schools, a 76-65 win at the Carroll College PE Center in December.Â
The Saints have a 10-game win streak over the Bulldogs dating back to 2020, and aim to continue the streak tonight in Dillon.
