Carroll Football Picked to Finish Second in Preseason Frontier Football Poll

WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced their 2022 preseason coaches' poll on Tuesday afternoon. Carroll College tied for second in the balloting with Rocky Mountain College, behind only Montana Western, who is the preseason favorite to win the 2022 Frontier Conference football Championship.
 
"It's an honor for our program to be recognized as one of the preseason favorites, but ultimately how we work each day will determine our season success." said Head Coach Troy Purcell.
 
Montana Western received four first-place votes, Carroll received three first-place votes, and College of Idaho received one first-place vote. 
 
College of Idaho, Montana Western, and Rocky Mountain College tied for the 2021 conference championship with identical 7-3 conference marks.
 
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams. First place was worth seven points, second place worth six points, third place worth five points, fourth place worth four points, fifth place worth three points, sixth place worth two points, and seventh place worth one point.

The Saints will open their season on August 27 in Helena, when they host the Bulldogs of Montana Western.
