WHITEFISH, Mont. – Three Carroll student-athletes have received Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Paige Baxstresser is the Frontier Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week,
Chad Hemsley is the Frontier Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week, and
Brett Glaser is the Frontier Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
Baxstresser, a senior from San Luis Obispo, Calif., won the 100-meter and 200-meter races with times of 12. 81 seconds in the 100 and 26.70 seconds in the 200 at Carroll's Trudnowski Open. Baxstresser also competed on Carroll's winning team in the short relay.
Hemsley, a junior from Kalispell, Mont., took first at the Trudnowski Open in both the 100-meter dash and the 400-meter hurdles. Hemsley's time of 54.24 seconds was an NAIA B-Standard qualifying mark.
Glaser, a sophomore from Glasgow, Mont., finished second in the men's decathlon at the Trudnowski Open. Glaser scored 6307 points to qualify for the NAIA outdoor national championships and he now ranks sixth nationally in the decathlon.
