LOS ANGELES, Calif. – This weekend, the Carroll College Cheer team traveled to Los Angeles to compete in the Hollywood Crown through World Class Cheer at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

World Class Cheer is a global cheer company that specializes in camps, competitions, and choreography.

18 total squad members, 14 women and four men, made the trip down to compete along with coaches Isabelle Hunt, Allie Roberts, and Alex Holmes.

After lots of preparation, the Saints Cheer team thrived under the bright lights and placed first in the Open Small CoEd College Division.

The competition consisted of stunting, jumping, a show cheer section, and dancing. Each squad was judged on their execution, skill level, difficulty, and overall performance.

This weekend's first place finish makes it two straight years in which the team has won cheer competitions. Last year, they took first in the Spirit Cheer Competition.
