KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA announced its selections of the 2021-22 NAIA Men's Basketball All-America Teams on Thursday morning.
Three teams of 10 players each comprised the All-American teams, along with 47 players who received honorable mention honors.
Jovan Sljivancanin was named first team All-American and
Shamrock Campbell was named third team All-American.
Carroll was one of only four schools to land two players on the All-American teams.
Sljivancanin, a senior forward from Belgrade, Serbia, became the fifth first team selection in Carroll Men's Basketball history. He averaged 19.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game on his way to being named Frontier Conference Player of the Year. Jovan also led the team with 101 assists and 40 steals.
This is Sljivancanin's third time receiving All-American honors, after he landed on last year's second team and was honorable mention as a sophomore.
Campbell, a senior point guard from Spokane, Wash., was a steady scorer, leader, and everything in between for the Saints in his senior campaign. He led the team in minutes played for the fourth straight year, while serving as the second leading scorer. He averaged 14.8 points per game, shot an even 50 percent from the field, and finished with an assist to turnover ratio of 86 to 30. Campbell also was a first team all-conference and all-defensive team selection.
This is Campbell's second time receiving All-American honors. He was an honorable mention last season.
