HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team will play their first game of the NAIA National Tournament, sponsored by Ballogy, on Friday night. The Saints, who are the number three seed in the Duer Bracket, will tip-off with 14-seed Mt. Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) at 7:30 p.m. in the PE Center.
This season, Carroll stitched together a record of 28-4 following a 62-61 loss to Montana Tech in the Frontier Conference Championship. With all of their success, the Saints earned a bid to host an opening round pod for the national tournament.
Mt. Vernon Nazarene finished their season with a record of 20-10. They lost in the quarterfinal round of the Crossroads League Tournament 82-62 to Grace College.
The winner of Friday night's game will face off with the winner of six-seed Jamestown and 11-seed Lewis-Clark State. LC-State and Jamestown play before Carroll on Friday night at 5:30 in the PE Center.
