HELENA, Mont. – The eighth-ranked Carroll Men's Basketball team will host No. 14 Montana Tech for the Frontier Conference Championship game on Monday night at 7 p.m.

The Saints took care of business on Friday night in the semifinal round, defeating MSU-Northern 71-63 in a hard-fought ball game.

With Friday night's win, they are now an impressive 28-3 on the season, and 1-0 in postseason play. Carroll enters the conference championship game on an eight-game winning streak as they look to bring home another piece of hardware.

Monday night also marks the fourth conference championship game in as many years for head coach Kurt Paulson since taking over at his alma mater in 2018.

Montana Tech, on the other hand, played in a tight one on Friday night. The Orediggers beat Montana Western in Butte 70-68 on a buzzer-beater by Sindou Diallo to earn a fourth meeting with Carroll. Tech possesses an overall record of 25-6 and they shared the regular season conference crown with the Saints.

The Saints won two out of three this season against Montana Tech, with both wins coming at the PE Center. Carroll won the first and third meetings by scores of 80-78 and 80-66, with Tech taking the second one 73-58 in Butte.
