GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The 11
th-ranked Carroll Men's Basketball team will close out the regular season against Providence in Great Falls at 7 p.m.
Heading into Thursday's contest, Carroll has a chance to secure a share of the Frontier Conference title as well as the top seed heading into the conference playoffs with a win.
The Saints are currently tied for the top spot with No. 14 Montana Tech, but hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Orediggers. Tech is at home against MSU-Northern Thursday.
Last Saturday, Carroll went on the road and convincingly beat a tough Rocky Mountain College team by a final score of 83-57. Their resumé on the season contains very few blemishes, possessing an overall record of 26-3 and a conference record of 12-2.
The Argos come into Thursday night's bout on an eight-game losing streak, most recently falling 76-71 at Montana Tech last Saturday. Despite an 11-6 overall record and a 2-12 conference record, the Argos will look to play spoiler and end their regular season on a high note.
This will be the third meeting between these two teams as the Saints look to complete the season sweep. Carroll won 83-75 in Great Falls on January 13 before turning around for an 81-72 win at the PE Center on January 29.
