Carroll Sweeps Frontier Player of the Week, Cook, Hilborn Honored

WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has announced the winners of its weekly awards. Carroll College student-athletes Andrew Cook, and Kamden Hilborn were named both Men's and Women's Player of the Week.

Andrew Cook of Carroll College was selected as the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference's Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Cook is a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard from Huntington Beach, Calif.

No. 23 Carroll went 0-2 in their first two games at the Cactus Classic in Chandler, Ariz. The Saints lost to Ottawa University of Arizona 86-58 and lost 91-86 to (RV) Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) 91-86.

Cook averaged 23.5 points and 2.5 rebounds. He was 20 of 30 from the field (66.7 percent) and 6 of 7 from the free throw line. Cook scored a career high 24 points in the loss to Olivet Nazarene.

This is the second consecutive week that Cook has garnered the award.

Kamden Hilborn of Carroll College was selected as the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Hilborn is a 5-foot-7 senior guard from Clancy, Mont.

No. 11 Carroll went 2-0 at the 2022 Warner Classic in Lake Wales, Fla. The Saints beat Webber International (Fla.) 66-40 and the host Warner College 68-53.

Hilborn averaged five points, 11.5 rebounds and 10 assists per game. Against Warner, she recorded the rare triple-double. Hilborn scored 11 points, pulled
down 18 rebounds and dished out 13 assists.

Her triple-double is the first for the Carroll program in nearly 20 years. Hilborn's 13 assists are the most by a Saints' women's basketball player since at least 2013.
