HELENA, Mont. - The No. 23 Carroll Men's Basketball team is ready to start their 2022-23 Frontier Conference regular season this evening, hosting Montana Western at the Carroll College PE Center at 7 p.m.

The Fighting Saints (4-1) are back in the friendly confines of the PE Center tonight for the first time in over a month, hosting a Montana Western team (5-5) that is coming off of a loss to Dakota State this past weekend.

Carroll Guard Andrew Cook (Huntington Beach, Calif. / SO) has been stellar for the Saints to begin the season. The Sophomore standout is second in points per game in the conference (15.8 ppg), followed closely by another Saint off to a strong start, Jonny Hillman (Post Falls, Idaho / SR) who is averaging 15 ppg. Brendan Temple (Castle Rock, Colo. / SR) is currently fifth in the conference in rebounds per game (6.2) and third in field goal percentage (57.9).

Carroll will have to defend the perimeter, as Western's Michael Haverfield is leading the conference in three-point field goal percentage, knocking down threes at 64 percent on the year. Jamal Stephenson is leading the way offensively for the Bulldogs, averaging 13 points per game.

The Saints have a nine-game win streak over the Bulldogs dating back to 2019-2020, and the Preseason Frontier Conference favorites will look to extend that streak to double-digits and start conference play on the right track tonight.

Tonight's game will be streamed live on the Fighting Saints Network: Presented by Point S Tire & Auto Service, and live stats can be found HERE. Catch the action on the radio with Nick Dietzen and Gary Turcott on the call on Rewind 94.9 or online HERE.
