EUGENE, Ore. - The Carroll College Women's Basketball team lost an exhibition game at NCAA Division I Oregon on Friday night In Eugene, Ore. 72-41.
Just 24 hours after their first game of the year, the Carroll Women were back in action, facing off with Oregon in an Exhibition game.
Carroll came out of the gates swinging, taking an 11-10 lead after the first quarter, but were outscored 16-6 in the second and went into the break down 26-17.
The Pac-12-power Ducks proved to be too much to handle for the Saints, running away in the second half en route to a 72-41 win.
The experience was a good one for the Saints, 14 players saw the court for Carroll, each getting at least 5 minutes of playing time and the chance to compete on an NCAA Division I stage.
Jamie Pickens (Helena, Mont. / SR) had another solid outing, finishing with 11 points and four rebounds. Sienna Swannack (Nine Mile Falls, Wash. / GR) finished with 7 rebounds and four points.
The Ducks were led by Grace VanSlooten and Jennah Isai, who each finished with a game-high 12 points.
The Saints will return to Helena and shift their focus to their home-opener against NCAA Division II foe MSU Billings at the PE Center on Teusday at 7 p.m.
