Saints WBB Fall at Rocky Mountain 45-59

BILLINGS, Mont. – The 7th ranked Carroll College Women's Basketball team suffered its third conference loss Thursday night in Billings to 18th ranked Rocky Mountain.
 

After the first quarter, Carroll led 13-9, but in the second quarter Rocky picked up the scoring and took a 28-27 lead into the locker room at halftime. 

 

Rocky outscored Carroll 17-7 in the third quarter and then held Carroll off in the fourth to secure the 59-45 victory. 

 

Rocky's N'Dea Flye scored 32 points and paced Rocky's offense with over half of the Battlin' Bears points and added ten rebounds. Shauna Bribiescas also added 11 points and five rebounds of her own.

 

For the Saints, Jamie Pickens put up 14 points and 7 rebounds, while the rest of the Saints scoring attack remained relatively balanced, all in single digits. 

 

In the Frontier Conference standings, Rocky improves to 8-1 and Carroll drops to 6-3. Rocky is now tied with Providence atop the Frontier, with Carroll now in third, two games off the pace.

 

Carroll looks to gain ground this weekend Saturday afternoon as they host 16th ranked Providence in the PE center at 2:00pm.
