BUTTE, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team will hit the road on Saturday evening for a high-stakes matchup at Montana Tech. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Saints, who are 19-2 and 6-1 in conference, are winners of their last three games, including their most recent 84-73 win over Montana Western on Thursday night.
Jovan Sljivancanin,
Shamrock Campbell, and
Andrew Cook paved the way to victory with double-digit scoring performances that went hand-in-hand with a feisty defensive effort by the whole team.
Montana Tech, on the other hand, enter Saturday's rivalry game with a record of 17-5 on the year and 6-1 in conference. They have won their last four games, including a 76-68 home win over Rocky Mountain College on Thursday night.
In early January, these two teams faced off at the PE Center and Carroll edged out the Orediggers by a final score of 80-78. Saturday's second meeting between Carroll and Tech will be for sole possession of first place in the Frontier Conference as we approach the half-way point of the conference schedule.
